Residual target (move-when threshold)
The pasture cover (kg DM/ha) you want to leave behind when a mob comes off a paddock. 1500 kg DM/ha is the PROGRAZE standard for protecting perennial pasture vigour. Lower (1000-1200) for annual pasture or short-term forage crops; higher (1800-2000) for very sensitive perennials.
Farm carrying capacity (your number)
The total DSE you think your farm actually carries at long-term average rainfall. When set, this overrides all the computed/benchmarked values on Today. This is your call — the AI brief, the rainfall headline, and the AI sale planner will all defer to it.
Carrying capacity benchmarks (DSE/ha)
Per land-class × pasture-type baselines for your region. Used when a paddock has both Land class and Pasture type set. Seeded from EverGraze + Holmes Sackett published figures; edit any cell to match your country. Seasonal modifier applies automatically from rolling rainfall.
Improvement unit costs
Unit prices used to auto-estimate fence, water, trough, dam, shelter-belt and tree-guard costs when you draw them on the map. Seeded with 2026 Aus rural-supplier ballpark figures; edit any row to match your contractor quotes.
Pasture growth curves (kg DM/ha/day)
Monthly baseline pasture growth rate for each species you have. Defaults are anchored to the closest published EverGraze proof site for your region; edit any cell to match what your own paddocks actually produce. Logged grazing events (FOO start → end) will start refining these automatically once you have 3+ observations per species × month.
Stocking model (RCS)
Resource Consulting Services rule: carrying capacity scales with effective annual rainfall. Suggested DSE = total ha × (rolling 12-month mm ÷ 100) × coefficient. Edit per your country.
